nice!

despite all this shit about posting crap and faking downloads, i have to say this is a pretty cool littl loop. my personal favorite was the swinging metal clang sound. very stylish. the beat was a funky stutter machine and the crazy vocoder effect was an added bonus. the melodies were a little lacking, but really, it's not too necessary, all in all, a very cool and stylish peice worthy of some recognition.

oh nice!

this is badass dude! it's so tight and chopped to perfection. All the sounds were slick and fit in perfectly. and everything flowed like a galaxy. Whoever jake is, i wish i was always in his head, because it if it sounds like this, it's a trip-hop rave party 24/7

nice work dude, very impressive

Always nice to see a review from you, i'm glad you enjoyed it. Jakes like, my best friend, and hes pretty crazy. So i just made alittle rave, techno...whatever genre song for him. thanks for the review man.

nice loop!

This is some fun straightforward techno dance stuff, cools sounds despite the very overused sound they slightly broke out of the mold and were pretty personalized. very easy to dance to!

its nothin i would dance to thats for shur. Anyways thanks for the review

holy crap!

This is very intriguing! it has a sort of trip-hop feel to it, funky but very digital in nature, the vibes used were cool and the real drum beat was an interesting mix. the glitch chopped stuff grabbed me and it was good. lvoe this track, way cool and very stylized, very odd intro. keep it up!

Rucklo responds:

Thx alot for the review. I´m glad U liked the song, I was actually making a music video for this one, but only half got shot and edited...
Glad u took ur time to acctually mention what parts u liked!

whoa!

wow! i like this, it's similar to your other songs, but it's also way different, it has a very surreal and meloncholy feel to it, the filtered melody thing was a good choice, and the arpeggios, always good. nice stuff here! just goes to show, not all good techno has to have a cliche obnoxious kick going the whole time

Thanks for the review as always! My general idea for making audio was to make the most depressing song possible. (Hehehe) I happen to like the sad sounding songs, and want to drive everyone into depression... Well, maybe not. I have to admit though, that for some reason FL didnt render one of the channels, and this being my fourth try (hmm, i wonder where the title came from) I just submitted it and realized later on that i didnt have it in.

I'm not sure I've hit the depressing type melody style on the head yet, but until then, thanks for the reviews and the suggestions, its good to know someone's out there :)

me too!

I also heard this on Phantasmagoria and was blown away, first the visuals of the movie got me, but then i realized it was the music, so i delved deeper to hear to whole song....I was a little more impressed with the part that was in the movie than with the rest where is just goes crazy and breaks into insane hats and rave synth stuff, i was more into the Drum and Bass stuff. but seriously that's just me, the techno part is good, but i just dont think it fit with the beginning....also, the abrunt ending is a little annoying. but no big deal, the song rocks, keep up the primo work

oh sweet melody

This is amazingly sweet. i just want to drift away on a raft or sleep in the sand. so lovely and full of superb harmonies and bends. kinda reminded me of a song by Underworld (mostly techno but they have one track that's just a soft guitar) i gave you a 10 for origianlity and diversity because i don't think you ever covered the same riff, always working in that lovely key. was this all written down or was some improv....so beautiful, you are an excellent player of the strings, pluck away my friend.

oooh!

Cool intro! i should have known it was going to be a crazy rave type beat. and boom there it was. oh man, i couldn't have picked the light, airy instruments better, loved 'em all. all the parts were very well leveled out and didn't overpower whatsoever. the hand-made arpeggio with the chime showed a control to the song. The beat was pretty straightforward and left a little more to be desired. However, the lovely rolling melody created awesome harmonies that were like doves cooing in my ears. this is good stuff!

okaaaay.

very interesting samples...the bass was kinda cool, but i really enjoyed the light chime instrument, very nice. The wasp could have used a little tweaking but it fit in just fine. this song did seem a little anticlimatic but just kept on going up and down without a direction. but pardon the pun, i would by hypocritical if i said that it was repetitive, most my songs are similar in the way i make a riff and then just put it in, take it out, put it in, repeat. overall, a pretty good song, definitely a dance classic..........

by the way, your next submission will be your 100th submission, planning anything special?

DJRunaway responds:

:) Oh fuck, yeah, my 100th :) Maybe I'll ask my record company (yeah, I make good songs, but I can't upload em here :( Wait till March, my album comes out then!) if I can release an album song :) My favorite is "Sky High", with a girl singing some text about "being high on a drug called love"(How original, but hey, love $ells!) Thanks for the review crud!

Okay, there is good stuff

The beggining was way cool, it me sitting up in my chair saying...."heyyyy!" the classic upbeat bass, and the awesome beat, way cool, but then the bass teamed up with some chimes and then the beat went somewhere completely different and and new percy sound comes out of nowhere and then the songs over...What i'm trying to point out it, you started with a wonderful sound, and i know it's hard to keep it all one sound when you keep finding riffs you really like and want to include....but really, it just takes away from it...i would say, next time, try and stick with one genre, the beginning sounded alot like dance music.try that one, another trick might be to just spend the extra 3 hours to just sit down and finish a song in one fluid thought as it were....um, so that the ADD doesn't ruin it. So I'll say it again...the beginning choir, bass, and drums were awesome, stick with those!

I make music that pops and clicks in your eardrums and in your synapses. listen to my beats and you'll breathe with me.
