oh definitely good work

yeah man. yeah. the sound was crystal clear on this. the bass and kick were so round and smooth that all the blippy zaps stuck out like lasers shooting inside of a metal cube room. but when the dx-10ish piano came in it sounded too simple and didn't fit in with all the electro sounds. but then i got used to its chord feeling and the phat beat rolled on. nice work Rucklo.nice work.

Rucklo responds:

I was a lil insecure bout that piano, but after a few listens, i thought it fitted right in, so it´s there to stay :)
Really glad ya liked the song man, expect more breakbeat/hiphop style things from me; I just got me a CD-scratcher :)
Thanx alot for the review mate!!!

nice and productive

nice little loop, very user friendly. the beat is actually quite busy but it's so under the radar and the high ravey beeps that it does't distract.
although the high ravey note would have been less annoying if it changed just a note for at least one beep. looped and never pooped, keep it going man, very skilled you have become.

Rucklo responds:

Yeah, the beat is where many of the effects lies, so it gets kinda weird n stuff. About the ravey note; the full version will have the changes u were looking for.
Thanx for all the nice words man! it warms my heart, and now im gonna finnish the full version, damnit! :D

chilled out techno for the masses

the slow beginning and buzzing sound added to the song as a sort of warm up jog. once the big dropped the song picks up, the energy never got to extreme or rushed, so i think the drums were just kept low key and the song just naturally rolls along very smoothly, no rush, just good music to walk to.

Rucklo responds:

Well then let´s take a walk, man! :D
This song is quite good for walking, I´ve tried it myselef from/to work. It´s chilled enough for it :D
But hopefully I´ll get myself a damned CD-scratcher, and add some vox on thisone as well. I´ve been thinking a female friend of mine for the vox, but we´ll see what´s going down and what´s not.

Thanx for reviewing the song dude!

flawless

shakers. yummy. ooh, a funky smoothe pumped up beat and a razor sharp synth, dude this song is a badass robotic techno filled orchestration of all that is electronic. it's a little too dark for my tastes but the overall feeling is very a big ol tank truck with weapons and fucking huge wheels crushing all under it's path on a barren wasteland of destroyed countryside like something out of the beginning of terminator 2. brutal. very good work.

Rucklo responds:

The whole point with this song is exactly what u´ve described. Something big, evil, robotic metal-thingy marching/rolling forward or some shit like that.
I´m really glad U liked the song, even though it´s a little dark!

the machine grinds on

oh damn! this is some sick stuff right here. crunchy dist. beats and clashing yet harmonizing dirty synths that compliment each other. and a quick lil ance beat pumping it out of the choking exauhst pipe of the techno machine dripping with dark black oil. I like this track alot, especially the low bit rate fade out. i got distracted by some of the seemingly random switches and breaks, but tha's just what gave the song it's mood, chaotic and on a mission of destruction. nice nice nice.

Rucklo responds:

Hey man, good to hear from you again!

It makes me really happy you liked this song, there´s alot to it, and listening to it once isn´t enough, this song is made to be an interesting experience and not monotone :)

Appreciate your review alot, I respect your music alot!

ohhh

yay for ambience that lifts the minds and closes the eyes. i really like this sound. the lo-fi is more like drifting into the ocean than sounding underwater. like a boat drifting out to see with a couple soulful guitarist aboard. well made and well created.

Gillenium responds:

Thank you very much. Although I owe a lot of credit to Evan Hinkle on guitar. He recorded a minute of audio on a crappy 10 dollar k-mart mic, and yet his riffs still shine through. Thanks for the review!

whoa!

whoa. WHOA!! where did THIS come from!? the layers sounded great and all the instruments, no matter how few, all complemented each other. i just wish they could have all come together at some point. The structure got a little choppy and didn't blend so well, but this is much much more like a real song and i'm excited to hear more now!

Shadoman111 responds:

thanks for taking a look at all my songs and giving me tips. im trying to get better. thanks for the review.

catchy

ehehe, very catchy lil dance track right here man. very strophic (same melody through-out) and despite its repeating pretty much the whole way through, you played with in so many ways that it made it feel like a live club or something. very cool and fun. only thing that could have been improved would be a little more variety in different sound drum stuff (shakers,hi hat closed, etc.)

DJRunaway responds:

:) thanks for the review man! Yeah, I know. I was kinda stoned when I made this, so I ran out of idea pretty quickly... But I used about 44 different fx to keep it (kinda/sorta) interresting :D Thanks again,

movie score?

amazing musical movements in this song. the soundfont quality of the instruments was a little cheesy and computerish. but that's not your fault at all. what was really excellent about this peice was your ability to create so many different layers, melodies, transitions, changes and emotions. I really am impressed with all the work you put into this. It's like something straight out of a movie or a video game, very soundtrack style music.

Khuskan responds:

Soundtracks are fun. The idea of a movie soundtrack is to add that extra feeling to a piece that you cant do with movement alone.

If you show a face crying, its silly. If you play a face crying with enya in the background, its sad.

Of course, that is partly to do with the fact it is enya.

I make music that pops and clicks in your eardrums and in your synapses. listen to my beats and you'll breathe with me.
